René Brozius has offered to sponsor 1000 liters special Ale with the Dragon Gold Cup 2019 brand. Just for the occasion.
René will offer his beer on Saturday 8 June when the fleet arrives at the temporary docks in the Oosterhaven in down town Medemblik after the boats have been trimmed and measured and the Tune Up Race (start Saturday 8 June 14:00 hrs) has been completed.
The second lot of this special DGC 2019 light Ale will be offered during the Yanmar Dragon Gold Cup dinner on Tuesday 13 June. It will certainly taste very well with the planned Asian food dishes that a will be served in the classic setting of the Old Church in Medemblik whilst Jazzy music will provide a back ground atmosphere during this (seated) dinner for more than 400 participants and volunteers.
Attached a note and pictures from René Brozius during his brewing proces.
In preparation of the 2019 Dragon Gold Cup we at Lakeview Consultancy started last weekend with the brew of the Gold Cup Special Ale at the ‘De Kip Craft Brewery’.
Located on the south shore of the Westerschelde near Antwerp, De Kip Craft Brewery is one of those small Dutch breweries that takes pride in it’s products and puts quality over quantity.
Using the finest pilsner and wheat malts The Swaen Maltery in Flanders has to offer and selected hops like Hallertau and Cascade. We are brewing a light, tasty and refreshing beer that will help you to recover from all those thirsty moments that will be encountered during the 75th DragonGold Cup event.
For now, we’ll let the yeast do it’s job and prepare the boat for next sailing season. We look forward to the upcoming races.
